Moscow has announced the results of the first ECBI testing, held by the Unified Center for Biometric Testing, a new platform for independent evaluation of face recognition algorithms and computer vision solutions.
The tests were conducted in the "face recognition: 1:N identification" format. Seven algorithms took part, and the evaluation used a large‑scale dataset of more than 750 thousand face images. The solutions were assessed by key parameters: recognition accuracy, robustness under capture conditions, and processing speed.
Tevian ranked first in the test results, showing the best performance in both recognition quality and algorithm speed. This result is especially meaningful because real-world systems are often optimized either for accuracy or for speed, while this testing demonstrated leadership across both parameters.
