Tevian to Present a Pedestrian Identification Architecture for Automated Traffic Enforcement Systems at KDW

Back to news

At the Kazan Digital Week 2026 round table, Pavel Margolin, B2G Development Manager at Tevian, will present a concept for extending automated photo and video enforcement to traffic violations by pedestrians and subsequent identification of the person involved.

In the conventional scenario, an event is linked to a vehicle using its license plate. Pedestrian violations require a different technology chain: detecting the violation, obtaining a usable face image, sending a request to a secure identification environment, and preparing the case materials for review by the CAFAP.

The presentation will cover requirements for roadside enforcement equipment, image quality, night‑time capture, lighting, metrology, and secure data exchange. It will also describe a human‑in‑the‑loop model in which algorithms generate the event and supporting materials, while the procedural decision remains with an authorised officer.

The concept is intended for further development in government video analytics, intelligent transport systems, and Safe City projects. At Kazan Digital Week, Tevian will present the proposed architecture and pilot stages.
