RSS Integrates Tevian Face Recognition and License Plate Recognition Technologies

Back to news

Tevian and RSS have started integrating video analytics technologies. Tevian modules for face recognition and license plate recognition are being embedded into the RSS Ommatid platform.

Recognition results will be available directly within RSS Ommatid. The system will be able to detect faces in video streams and recognize vehicle license plates, while operators will be able to work with the resulting events within a single platform.

A separate part of the integration focuses on Polycamera multisensor cameras. Their combined depth of field significantly expands the possibilities for applying video analytics across large areas. These cameras use multiple lenses and generate several video streams simultaneously, covering a wide observation zone. Tevian and RSS are working on data processing so that a person appearing in the field of view of multiple sensors is identified as a single object rather than as several independent events.

The teams are currently carrying out technical configuration and testing the joint operation of the platform and Tevian SDK. The next stage will include the integration of silhouette analytics.

The joint solution is designed for video surveillance systems covering large areas, including sports facilities and stadiums, public spaces, transport infrastructure, and urban infrastructure. Multisensor cameras make it possible to cover a larger area from a single installation point, while combining video streams and video analytics within one platform simplifies operators’ work and may reduce the amount of equipment required to monitor a site.
